July 26, 2021 : Old Stone Fort TN (with a little Jack Daniels!)

This morning we got a little creative and while Richard and the kids went to run an errand in Home Depot, Laura was able to get caught up on some work before the main attraction for the day: the Jack Daniels Distillery! (Elizabeth was excited!)

I’m thinking this might be a good new work schedule for me!

The spring which is the water in every bottle of Jack Daniels produces 800 gallons a minute.

It was impressive to think that every bottle of Jack comes from this spring!

Just two kids hanging out in some whiskey barrels.

Afterwards, we went to eat in Lynchburg at a BBQ place where John informed the waitress that their pulled pork was almost as good as his friend Mike’s! He also make friends with a cat and is making a desperate plea to get a cat… which he has now decided to name Whiskey (which is about the best possible name for a cat).

We (the adults!) even tried some Jack Daniels ice cream!

After we stopped back at the state park, where Laura and John did a quick hike to a waterfall!

We weren’t quite sure where we were going next… but it like we are off to a new state in the morning!
