We made it on the road only about 40 minutes later than planned and headed to pick up Jocelyn. With the backseat full of kids, towards Arkansas we went!
After a bit lengthier than expected lunch due to two super chatty kids who could not pause long enough to take a bit, we finally made it to the state line.
We made it to our next destination: Crater of Diamonds, AR at about 4:30pm. John was thrilled! He had found this park when a different place was booked, and it was the the “destiny” he was most excited about.
The campsite was absolutely stunning; Richard said it had the nicest hook ups he had seen too. While he got the trailer settled, the kids and I did the Little Missouri River Trail (1.2 miles) that was right across from our campsite.
After a beautiful sunset through the trees - that just seemed to make everything seem alright - it was time for s’mores then bed.
Tomorrow, we hunt for diamonds!
